Frequentlyasked questions
General questions and answers about our online training courses.
Our online training courses use a “flipped classroom” concept, meaning that you first work through the content independently, according to your own schedule, and then you have the opportunity to ask your trainer questions once a week. These weekly online Q&A sessions are recorded and are made available to course participants.
At the beginning of the course, your trainer will invite you to a series of Microsoft Teams sessions. They will also provide you with the course content, which will be structured according to a learning path.
Our “online training” refers to a mix of informal learning and live sessions. “Informal” means that individual teaching units are self-managed without professional supervision.
The “flipped classroom”, or reversed teaching, is a method in which participants work through the course material before attending online sessions, and the time spent together in the “classroom” is used for addressing questions and applying concepts learned in the course.
The video tutorials and, where applicable, books can be accessed online at any time and from any location and enable you to familiarize yourself with a topic. The individual videos are approximately one hour long and are designed to cover one topic of the training course so that you can watch them during the week.
You will receive a weekly email with information about the relevant content for that week, which will then be discussed in the live session.
Course content, consisting of videos and, in some cases, books, can be accessed via our Learning Platform. A link will be sent to you by Espresso Tutorials, or you will also find one in the invitation to the live session.
Log in with your email address and password. If you do not know your password, please use the password reset function. You will retain access to the content for 12 months from the completion of the course.
The online training videos are structured according to individual chapters, and the relevant content is provided for you each week. In addition to individual videos, there are also weekly live sessions that provide an opportunity for direct communication, during which you can discuss the content of that week’s videos. A learning path will also be provided to assist you in this process.
Learning paths help you to build up your knowledge using a topic-centered approach. The learning paths are designed around specific topics and offer recommendations on learning content that can be used to enhance your expertise in a specific area.
With all of our online training courses, the learning path accompanies you for the duration of the course and directs you which content to prepare for each live session. The course units are divided into short online videos, and you can access the content at any time and from any location. The videos are supplemented by associated book recommendations, where applicable.
To prepare for your live session, you should plan to spend between 40 and 120 minutes each week watching the videos. The time needed varies depending on the week’s topic. Questions can also be sent via e-mail to your trainer before the live session. The content will then be discussed during the live session, and your questions answered. There will also be time to go over any additional questions you might have.
In addition to video tutorials and online training books, there will also be scheduled face-to-face events (“live sessions”) during which you can ask questions and discuss the content in more detail.
The live sessions are organized in small to medium groups of up to 20 participants, so it is also possible to exchange ideas with other participants.
Live sessions take place every week, at the same time, for one hour. During the sessions, you will have the opportunity to discuss the topic that you have been working on, as well as address any questions you might have. The online media planned for the next week will be discussed as well.
You will be invited to the live session via Microsoft Teams. Your trainer will send you an email containing a calendar invitation, and the access data will appear as a link in the Microsoft Teams meeting, below the invitation signature.
You can participate either via internet or via the Microsoft Teams application. The bottom of the email will contain a link to join the meeting directly. You can also join the meeting using the registration details provided in the email (meeting ID and passcode).
You can participate in live sessions via the web, at: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-teams/join-a-meeting.
Participation is also possible via the Microsoft Teams client. To do this, you need to download and install the Microsoft Teams application at: https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/microsoft-teams/download-app?market=de.
To dial in, you need the meeting ID and passcode, both of which can be found in the email containing the appointment invitation. Alternatively, click on the “Click here to join the meeting” link, which is also in the email, to access the meeting directly.
If you have any questions about the individual learning content, you are welcome to send them to the trainer by email before the live session. During the live session, you can ask questions at any time, either in the chat or directly via the audio.
The small group size means that all participants can benefit from an exchange of ideas.
Live sessions are optional. You have the opportunity to take part in the sessions, ask questions, and make comments on the week's content, but there is no obligation to attend. However, if you miss a session that is of interest to you, and would like to know what was discussed, you will be able to download the session after it has finished. Every live session is recorded and sent to all course participants for download.
Yes, live sessions are recorded and are sent to all course participants for download. At the beginning of each live session, the video recording will also be mentioned.
The sessions are recorded to ensure that anyone who was unable to attend can receive the information that was discussed. All data is handled with full respect for privacy, and consent is obtained from all participants. The recording captures the entire screen.
If you do not consent to being recorded during the live session, we kindly request that you leave the meeting.
Generally, recordings are deleted 120 days after the session. However, recordings can be stored and kept available for as long as participants require. Once the live session has concluded, you will be provided with a personal link to access the recording.
After completing the course, you will receive an email in which we ask you to evaluate the course. We would appreciate your assistance in helping us to continuously improve the quality of our training courses by completing this evaluation. Upon completion of the evaluation, you will be issued a certificate of attendance.
